Recap

What a busy week - Fort McMurray, Butterfield Acres, swimming lessons, soccer games (team snack for both nights) and now it's Friday. The kids requested that we go out to Boston Pizza for supper tonight. I'm always up for a break from making dinner, so off we went. Pizza with olives for Liam, bug noodles for Emily. Both had salad too which surprised the waitress. I guess not many little ones choose greens over fries. They were both great diners and charmed the staff - Liam with his spiderman suit and Emily with her 'muscles.'

Both kids have mosquito bites. Emily really swells up so I bought her some Benadryl. It seems to settle the swelling and itching. Mister also has a bite on his elbow. Although it almost looks like a spider bite (which he would love - especially if it was radioactive!). I'll have to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't cause him any problems.

Oh, we recently received our big blue curbside recycling bins. What a great thing! Much easier than the weekly sorting and returning to the recycling depot. Todd's happy about that. Between the composter and this bin, we hardly have any garbage. Hopefully it gets warm enough so that the composter can actually start doing its thing. Snow/sleet in June is getting to be a bit much.

Terrible Threes?

I think I need to do some research on 'channeling' three year old boys.  I don't remember Emily being as whiny/high maintenance as what the Mister has been lately.  Maybe he's tired. Maybe he's just about to hit another development milestone.  Who knows? All I know is that he's lucky he's so cute.

Weekend Mini Recap

The weekend went well.  Kids and I had a fun time visiting with grandma while Todd was fishing. He had a good time catching US fish.  And grandpa got through the border with only his AB Health Card.  Who says you need a passport?

Emily posing in grandma & grandpa's front yard (I told gramma j that I'd like her to 'will' all of her slate rocks to me).

Liam helping grandma plant some flowers...until his hands got dirt on them.
