Date with my Boy

Liam and I had a mom/son day today .  I took a day off and he doesn't have school on Mondays.  So this morning, he, Emily and I rode our bikes to drop Emily off at school.  Liam and I then rode home, jumped into the car and headed to get his haircut.  I had promised him a day at Calaway Park so out we went.  However, we were very disappointed to find that it was closed today.  Second choice was the batting cage and it was also closed.  I asked him if he wanted to go for a hike.  There was a long pause before he answered, "Why would I want to go for a hike?"  It sounded very funny coming from him.  Third choice was bowling and it was open, thank goodness!  So we had a game, went on a merry-go-round at the mall and went for lunch.  He's getting so easy and definitely fun.  I'll have to take a day to take Emily for a date, too.
