Family Day Weekend

It was the Family Day long weekend and Valentine's Day as well. We went to Brooks for a couple of days so Todd and I are postponing 'our' V-day.

The Oympics Have Begun

The Olympics have begun! I've always been patriotic and have loved watching the Olympics (both winter and summer), but there's something extra special when your home country is the host. We watched the opening ceremonies and it was well done for the most part. I felt badly for Catriona le May Doan - not being able to light her part of the official torch because of a malfunction. And KD Lang, well, fantastic rendition of Hallelujah, but the man suit! Kyra and Emily - 'That's a girl?" summed it up. The excitement and energy of the day was also shrouded in sadness because of the death of Norad Kumaritashvili during his training run. RIP.
