Talent

Emily auditioned for the talent show at school.  They had two auditions and then the actual show.  She performed a dance and came in third place!  She was the only grade 7 that placed; the other winners were both grade nine kids.  She has so much confidence and wasn't shy or nervous about performing in front of about 200 people.  As a prize, she won a gift certificate to the mall.  I'm pretty sure that was her motivation for auditioning.  :)

Teenager in the House

Emily turned the big 1-3 on March 8th.  Crazy to think that we have a bonafide teenager.  I may take these words back, but I have been looking forward to her being a teen.  And so far she has been great and herself.

Emily at 13 is funny, easy-going, loves to dance, a good friend, sister and daughter.  She is doing well in grade 7 and has adjusted to being in junior high with ease.  She is creative, enjoys to bake/cook and really enjoyed her workshop option.  Emily's feet are bigger than mine and is almost as tall as me. I'm sure she will outgrow me this summer.

She is a great kid and we love watching her grow into a young lady.
