New Glasses

We picked up Emily's new glasses today. She outgrew her other ones both in frame size and prescription. Hopefully she's on the right track of outgrowing her glasses altogether. If not, oh well. There are other things worse than having to wear glasses.

Looking so mature

Bird Rescuer

At the moment Emily wants to be a vet when she grows up. She had her first 'vet' experience yesterday when a bird hit our window and was stunned for a bit. She and Liam brought it into the house and after about an hour of their care, it was able to fly away.

Bonjour - Ca va?

Liam is really enjoying the Montessori school. He attends three days a week and some of his comments have been "School was awesome today. I LOVE school." He enjoyed the previous two years of his former preschool, but this is different. His teacher told me that if he likes school now, he'll love it later as they haven't really started anything other than learning what the 'rules' are.

The funny thing he said yesterday was, "Ma, I think I learned French." I asked him, "Really? What did you learn?" Liam, "Bonjour." Too cute.

Operation Garage

When we moved into the house last October, we had two double garages (ie. 4 car garage) at our disposal. At the time we were able to store all of our junk in one garage and our two vehicles in the other. Well, that all changed when we leased out one side of the house in the late spring. As a result, we were only able to park one vehicle amongst all the stuff in the double garage. Well, pretty much anyone who knows me knows that it pains me to park outside, especially in the winter. Thus operation garage was this weekend. The goal was to dispose of, donate and organize our things so that both vehicles could fit alongside each other. Mission accomplished! With Emily's help, both the CRV and Civic are now able to be parked away from the elements. Good thing since there was frost on the rooftops this morning.
