Two Jack

It was a glorious weekend, with our temperature hitting 30 degrees.  The mountain lakes were calling so we loaded up Todd's grandpa's canoe and my new kayak and headed to Banff, specifically Two Jack Lake for an afternoon of water fun.

Dance Recital

Emily's year of dance came to an end this past weekend, with her dress rehearsal and two performances.  This year she was in four numbers (ballet, jazz, tap and modern), plus the finale.  What a great show!  All of her hard work paid off and she really did well.  Bravo!

1000lbs of Rundle Rock

Todd and I continued our landscaping and bought a 1000lbs rundle rock boulder.  The easy part was buying it; the not so easy part was figuring out how to get it from the alley (where it was delivered) and place it where we wanted it, without using a crane.  My smart husband applied the 'Egyptian method' by rolling it and voila, success.  Just where we wanted it.  It's not even that big!

Calgary Zoo with the Boy

I was lucky enough to spend the day with Liam and his classmates at the Calgary Zoo.  When the kids were younger we had all sorts of memberships, including the zoo so spent a lot of time checking out the animals.  Since they are older and in school, activities, etc we don't have as many opportunities so it's a treat when we go.  It was pouring rain, but still very enjoyable.
