We finally went camping for the first time this year. We drove to Waterton Saturday morning and were fortunate enough to get the 2nd last spot in Crandell campground.
This deer kept visiting us. Emily named her Gizelle.

After setting up the tent we headed to Red Rock Canyon and had fun walking through the river. Liam tried to "jump" to another rock and ended up going for a swim. Good thing it was a hot day so he didn't mind too much that he was soaked.
I had promised Liam and Emily that we would see some bears, so after supper we drove up to Cameron Lake. About half way to the lake, I spotted two black bear cubs so we quickly stopped to watch them scamper up a tree. I knew that momma bear had to be around and sure enough, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw her walking to her babies. She was no more than 15 feet away so Emily and Liam had a terrific view of her as well. I looked like a superstar because I fulfilled my bear 'promise' to them.

Cameron Lake was beautiful as well. It was so alluring that Todd went in for a swim. Good thing it was a hot day (although it was getting cooler) as the water was freezing. The kids got a huge kick watching him dive in.
