Lovely Days

It's been so lovely out the last few days.  The sun has finally provided some warmth and our world has become filled with color again; not just white snow or brown grass.  The green early lawns, the first spring flowers and the halo of green around the trees that are ready to release their leaves after the long winter are a welcome sight.  Everything just seems fresher and happier.

Center of the Universe

This past week took me to Toronto for a few days.  It was a work related trip and not much free time.   I didn't even have a chance to visit Ann Taylor - the only store in Canada.  On the bright side a bit of 'peripheral' fun was that I stayed downtown and the Toronto Maple Leafs played their first playoff game in 9 years on one of the nights.   Even though I am not a Leafs fan, there was a definite vibe in the city.

I Spoke Too Soon

Unfortunately our Bird Guardpro is not all what it was made out to be.  The woodpecker(s) are back and seem as persistent as ever.  My S-M-R-T husband built these nesting boxes to place over the stucco where they peck.  Seems to be working....but I am not going to get my hopes up just yet.
