Fall

It's that time of year again - Fall.  It's not my favourite season only because it precludes winter.  If it wasn't for the falling temperatures and the threat of what is to come (snow), I would really enjoy this season.  The weather is still warm and the changing colours are very pretty.

This past weekend I went to Phoenix with my MIL and two SILs.  We are trying to have a girls' weekend every year at about this time.  We've done pretty well as this was our 3rd trip in four years.  Pedicures, shopping, dinners, some wine, a movie and lots of laughs filled our days.

Getting Involved

Emily has transitioned quite easily (and amazingly) to junior high.  She seems very comfortable and not at all intimidated by the increase in student population, finding her classes, etc.  She even joined the cross-country team and has had her first meet.

She finished the run 80th something out of 200+ kids.  Not bad for the first one.
