Busy Weekend

This past weekend was one of the most hectic I remember in recent months.  Emily had three recitals in 2 days which meant late nights for all.  Besides the typical domestic duties, we also bought a few bushes, roses and shrubs to plant.    Even though we were all very tired by the end of the weekend, we felt productive.

Match Maker

Five years ago I hired two new grads.  I introduced them and four years ago they told me they were dating.  One year ago, they told me they were engaged.  This past weekend, we attended their wedding.   I was even part of their 'thank you' speech.  It is kind of neat that I played a small part in changing their lives.

Here Fishy Fishy

Last Friday I took a day off to volunteer on a field trip with Liam's class.  We went to Bow Habitat Fishery near the Bow River.  Even though we enjoy fishing (some more avid than others: Todd), we have never visited the fishery.  It was a lot of fun, a great program for the kids and a beautiful day.  It's also quite fun to watch Liam in an environment with his peers.  He was a good kid and still wants to be with his mom.

Beautiful day.  This is a trout pond where kids can try fishing.
