Swan River

This past weekend we drove to Swan River, Manitoba.  Todd's parents were born and raised there and it was only fitting that we say one last 'until we meet again' to Grandpa there.  Grandpa's best friend from the age of six passed away about five or so years ago and his ashes were also scattered in their beloved river.  His wife was kind enough to allow us to gather at their property by the river and release him to join his lifelong friend.  It was a wonderful tribute to both men and a time for family and friends to meet in a place that means so much to the families.

Elementary - Done!

Emily has graduated from elementary and will be starting at a new junior high school in the fall.  Hard to believe that she has spent seven years at Rosemont.  She enjoyed her time there, grew into the beautiful young lady she is today, but is ready to move onto the next chapter.

Father's Day

We celebrated Todd this past Father's day by going out for a mini hike/fishing to Fish Creek Park, an area in the south of Calgary.  We originally had planned a longer hike, but Liam had his final spring hockey and the weather was a bit sketchy.  It was still great as we spent the day together.

Annual Camping with Dad

Todd took the kids for their annual camping trip (I'm not invited) the weekend of June 12th.  They, along with some friends headed down to Beaver Mines in southern Alberta.  They had lots of fun together, catching frogs, hiking Table Top mountain and eating probably non-stop.  It's such a great tradition he has with them and the memories they are making is priceless.
