Spring Storm and Date Night

We had our annual spring storm yesterday.  Heavy, wet snow that fell all day and is typical Calgary weather for this time of year.  Good thing is that it doesn't last as the temperature is mild.

The kids also had a sleep over last night so Todd and I enjoyed a date night.  Pre-kids we played a fair amount of cribbage so we started our evening with a couple of rounds and a glass of red wine.  The two games were split. We then went out for a nice Italian dinner.  We miss the kids when they're away, but it is also a welcome break.

The kids were on spring break this past week so on Tuesday they went to the zoo with some friends and our nanny.  Emily took one of our cameras and took 190 pictures of their adventure.  Quite a few of them were pretty good, especially for an 8 year old.

I thought this one was very artistic
