Teddy Bear Picnic

It was such a nice day today that the kids and I had a 'teddy bear picnic.' They each invited a few of their stuffies and we had snack outside.

Emily, Cocoa, Brunswick, Bambi, Fuzzy, Peter and Liam
Liam also likes the taste of coffee and sneaks some of mine whenever he gets a chance.

New Skills

Emily has re-discovered skipping. Last year she learned how to skip backwards, but had a bit of trouble with forward skipping. This year she has taken it up again and not only can she skip forwards really well, she is now doing 'crossovers.' She even wants to enroll in a skipping camp this summer.

Then later this afternoon, we brought out a football to play catch. Liam was diving and recovering 'fumbles.' Good little athletes.

Busy, but boring

This week has been very busy at work so I haven't had much to write about. I had a team meeting with one of my 'new' groups at work and one of the standing agenda items going forward is mentioning "something good that happened to you this past week." Apparently it doesn't necessarily have to be work-related. The question made me pause and think. I am always grateful for my family and our health, but other than that, I was a bit stumped. This week was kind of blah because it was so busy. Sort of seemed like 'groundhogs day' - get up (still tired), get dressed, go to work, come home, get up, get dressed, go to work, come home. And so it seemed all week. But, now it's Friday and the sun is shining. I will have something 'good' to discuss next week.

Welcome Spring

I love spring. It's by far my favorite season. There's just such a vibe and feeling of 'fresh'. We see neighbors for the first time in months, wake to the songs of birds that have returned from a winter away and we actually want to be outside. No multi-layers of clothing either. I don't like bulky. But, I love spring.

Squinting in the sun

So Dirty

We came home from work the other day and the kids were in the tub. Strange as they usually only ever bath at night. Not so strange as soon as I saw them....
