Quiet Few Weeks

We are fortunate enough to have family relatively nearby that are willing (want to) take the kids for us.  The summer schedule is an exercise in military precision as Emily and Liam are still too young to hang out alone or have jobs for the summer.  We used to have a nanny so the eight week summer break was seamless.  Not so much now.  Even though we miss them, I must admit it is a nice break.  Todd and I carpool to and from work, have nice relaxing dinners and enjoy a tidy house for a few weeks.  Two more weeks of what an empty nest will eventually be like.  I'm not quite ready for that and am looking forward to having our chaotic life back.
