It's been a few days since I blogged so just a few updates to share. We went to Lethbridge on the weekend to visit my parents. It had been too long since our last trip. The kids had a lot of fun eating 'sour salad' and unripe gooseberries, playing in the playhouse, digging in the garden and of course, another water fight. We also visited my brother and sister-in-law. My brother is a police officer so Liam is quite fond of my him and all the 'toys' that go along with being a cop. My bro came by the house while on duty, so impressed both kids with the ghost car, baton, handcuffs, etc.

Todd and I also took advantage of babysitters and cheaper movie prices and saw "The Hangover." It was hilarious! We would recommend it.

Liam had his last soccer 'practice' on Monday. He was a star the first week and then it went downhill from there. For whatever reason, he didn't want to play. Mind you, he is three. But, as soon as we told him he gets a medal the last day, he was there. Pretty excited and proud of his first prize. I'm sure next year will be better. Hopefully he'll wear shoes by then.

We also met with the realtor on Monday. After our chat, Todd and I have decided to lease it out rather than sell for now. Interestingly enough, he kept saying that there wasn't a good comparison for the house since it's so unique, yet he based his suggested list price on houses that didn't compare. Although he checked out Todd's firm's website today and left him a message saying that maybe the price point could be higher. I still think we'll end up leasing it for awhile.

Emily had an eye appointment today. Some good news and bad news. Good news is that her vision in her left eye is slightly better than what is was at her last appointment. Bad news is that she has to wear a patch again for 3-4 hours a day. When we patched her as a toddler up until last August, it was just part of her routine. Now that she hasn't been patched for almost a year, it might be more of a challenge to get her to wear it. Hopefully she'll understand that it's to help strengthen that eye.
