Elkwater

Todd is training for a marathon in October and had a lot of work to do so last weekend I took the kids to Elkwater to camp with my parents, my aunt and a few other Polish families.  It was hot and a lot of fun.The kids were super travellers and campers.

5 Minutes of Fame

Emily and Liam participated in a bike camp called Pedal Heads last week.  I always swore I would not pay for someone to teach my kids to ride a bike. Scraped knees and the occasional chipped tooth were all rights of passage to growing up.  I justified signing them up for the week long camp because they already knew how to ride their bikes, so I thought it would be good exercise and they would learn rules of the road, etc.  They both really enjoyed the week and it's probably the only camp they have ever said that they want to do again next year.

At the end of the camp, they were invited to be on Breakfast Television as ambassadors for Pedal Heads.  They were pretty excited.

Here's the link to their 5 minutes of fame:

Deck Camping

Todd and the kids camped under the stars on the deck outside of our ensuite.  I slept in the comfort of my bed.   Todd came into the house at 6:15 a.m. and the kids slept until 8:00 a.m.  Maybe I'll join them next time.
