Look Ma, no Cavities!

Emily and Liam had a dentist appointment the other day. I know many people who don't like the dentist, but I LOVE going. I think it's because I never had a bad experience (that I can remember) so I've tried to instill the 'no fear' into the kids. So far so good. Liam even had fluoride in the spongy trays. Emily gave the fluoride a thumbs down though.

Their appointments took less time than I thought so rather than going home, I took them to work with me. Both asked "Are there any other kids around here?" And "Is this what you do all day?" They enjoyed meeting my co-workers, doing a craft with the stapler and writing on my white board. They also thought it was great because they received Easter chocolate from a co-worker's husband (thanks LC!). Good thing it had been at least 30 minutes since the fluoride.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter weekend. The kids both still believe in the easter bunny so it's entertaining to listen to and watch their excitement. However, being raised Catholic I want them to know the significance of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. So I told them the story about Jesus and his crucification on Friday and then rising on Sunday. Liam especially is quite fascinated and wanted to know why no one called 911. Emily wondered why it is called "Good" Friday. Good questions.
