Happy 50th Rosemont Elementary

Emily's school is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It's quite an achievement so to celebrate the school held an assembly and tea today. Emily's class sang "Because You Loved Me." They did a great job and their little voices brought tears to peoples' eyes. Many supporters of Rosemont attended and there was even one gentleman who was part of the very first class 50 years ago.

Boys' Playdate

Liam invited a little friend over for a playdate. They are three weeks apart in age and wild!

Ducks

Each spring, Liam's preschool incubates and hatches ducklings. The kids learn about things such as using an egg tooth to break through the shell and about the oil on their skin so that they can stay in water without getting too cold or wet. They also have the opportunity to take the ducks home for a night. Our turn was last night. This was our second time as Emily also had some when she was in preschool.

Thank goodness for Siblings

I have three siblings and growing up, we made up tons of our own games to play. Ghost game, gum game, wall game, the list goes on. Emily and Liam were making one up today and killing themselves laughing. I think they were calling it the 'walking upsidedown' game.

Thanks, Babca!

Our nanny is visiting her home for six weeks. She left two weeks ago and between my mom, myself, Todd and my mother-in-law, we're covering her holiday. My mom just finished her two weeks. We appreciated all her help, and I think she had fun, but I'm sure she was happy to go home.

Saturday Night

We invited some friends over for dinner last night. We've known each other for seven years now, originally meeting through "strollercize" when Emily was about 3 months old. We've kept in touch and then went through a 2nd mat leave together. The four year old boys are six days apart. Although we don't see each other as much as we should, the kids picked up where they last left off and had a blast together.
