Each spring, Liam's preschool incubates and hatches ducklings. The kids learn about things such as using an egg tooth to break through the shell and about the oil on their skin so that they can stay in water without getting too cold or wet. They also have the opportunity to take the ducks home for a night. Our turn was last night. This was our second time as Emily also had some when she was in preschool.
