European Vacation 2015

Two years ago we started talking to the kids about a possible European vacation.  Two years mostly because we wanted to give Liam some time to 'age' so that he would remember the trip...and let's be honest, maybe gain some patience as well.  Well, it happened.  We just returned from three weeks away.  The trip started in Athens where we had a 7 hour layover before heading to Naples, Italy for a night.  Next was Sorrento (S Agata) for five nights, Rome and Florence for three nights each, day trip to Pisa, Dijon France for a quick two nights and finally Paris for five nights before flying home.  We actually missed our connecting flight from Chicago to Calgary so ended up extending our vacation for a night.  Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to explore Chicago.  We'll save that for another time.

We took over 2700 pictures so the next few blog entries will be divided up by the cities we visited.  First up, Athens and Naples....

So much graffiti; not the cleanest city we've seen

Tired kids. Up for 24 hours.  They were troopers!

A pizza/pasta place we stumbled upon. Apparently it was the initial pizza house in Naples.
