Gone Fishin'

I heard about a good fishing spot for kids in Fish Creek park. Emily has the patience for fishing and Liam, well Liam likes when there's action. This place was promised to have action so we drove down this afternoon to check it out. We sort of found it and while I went looking for the actual place, Emily and Liam stayed with Todd and began to catch fish. They were tiny (about 3 inches), but plentiful. Funny how size doesn't matter to them as long as they were seeing something. We did eventually find where we were originally looking for and are planning to go back tomorrow.

Summer Nights

One of our favorite summer traditions is to go for ice cream at Licks' Ice Cream Shop and then head down to the Bow River to throw some rocks. This time we saw a new park near the ice cream shop so took our cones there instead. It's always fun discovering new playgrounds. Emily and Liam thought that the 'old days ride' (merri-go-round) was the most fun.
