Family Holiday

Anyone that knows me knows that I enjoy traveling.  Todd and I were lucky enough years ago to take a summer and backpack through Europe.  Since then (and kids) our trips have become less of a true adventure and more of a 'known.'  For instance we love Penticton/Naramata and have gone there 4 or 5 times in the last 7 or so years.  Mexico a few times, Maui and the Disneys.  More and more I am wanting to travel to places we have never been and experience/learn something new.  This year we had talked about doing a road trip down the west coast, but we decided we didn't have enough time.  So I started to mine vrbo and came up with a reasonably priced condo, on the beach in Yellow Point, British Columbia.  I had never heard of the place yet as soon as I told people that was where we were going, so many knew exactly where it was and what we should do on our vacation.   It was a great week spent with just the four of us.

Low tide at Rathtrevor Beach by Parksville; we spent hours here

A disgusting creature (apparently delicacy) called a 'goeyduck'

Emily and some other girls collected these starfish

Todd's cannon ball at the pool

Dipping feet in the Pacific ocean
