Crushed

Liam's Grassroots hockey is every Wednesday evening.  The season began four weeks ago, but he's only played twice (not counting the mini tournament).  Two weeks have been cancelled due to the weather; first too cold and this past Wednesday, too warm.  Todd's parents came to town to watch him play, but as we were about to get him dressed in his gear, his coach called to cancel.  It was about 10 degrees celcius and the rink had too much water on it.  I didn't want to be the one to break it to Liam, but I thought the pain would be less if I just told him.  Was he ever crushed!  His poor little heart was broken and it took about 20 minutes to stop the tears.  Good news is that this week is supposed to get cold again so the rink should be frozen.  Let's just hope it doesn't get too cold!
