Emily's 8th birthday is on Tuesday so we had her birthday party today....at the house! It was the first time as in the past our house was too small to entertain. Or if I want to be completely honest, I thought it would be easier to have a party away from home. No pressure to entertain and minimal planning and clean-up. Emily really wanted it here this year and since we have lots of things the 10 kids could do, how could we not? I think it went well - between going downstairs and playing on the climbing wall, air hockey, or just plain hockey, the face painter/balloonist, three 'organized' games and of course snacks, cake and presents, the 2 1/2 hours went pretty quickly. Such a hit that now Liam wants his 6th party here, too. Thank goodness it's not until
next January.
